The Aedronicon
walkthrough
  • Played as an Aedron
    • Make contact with Nan'Qut. The first thing a new Aedron will notice is a wanted poster on the outside wall of the Census building at Seyda Need. Click it, it dissappears, and gives an odd message. Go somewhere and sleep. You will have a dream about a Yellow man by a bridge.
    • Travel south by southwest on the road leaving Seyda Neen. At the first bridge you will encounter Nan'Qut. After telling you that you are in no shape to serve he tells you to travel to Amanstarbistashi and marks it on your map. He also gives you his Obanite Baton, which is standing on the ground next to him.
    • Travel to Amanstarbistashi. Note: there is a boat due west from the island on the mainland that can save you some swimming if you click on it.
    • The Vision. Once you reach the island speak to Maanat. She tells you she has left for you a potion by the poolside in the shrine. Go there, drink the potion, and rest by the poolside. You will now be witness to cryptic visions provided by the Aedra. The last vision will show you the first quest. Recover the "Staff of Oblivion."
    • After that travel back to Nan'qut. He will then determine if you are fit for duty. Once you are level 3 or higher you can serve. At this point Nan'Qut departs and points you to Mak'Tan, but he leaves a Book of Spells that you won't want to overlook. These are you first set of aedronic spells. Aedronic spells use a bit less magicka than do normal versions of the same thing.
    • Tavel to Mak'Tan south of Ebonheart. Mak Tan serves as your main contact in finding the Staff. She gives you an amulet to conviniently teleport back to her (don't loose it, she will ask for it to be returned later).
      • The first piece of the staff is located at Kohranna Cavern located on the west side of the second foyada leading north on the west road leaving Molag Mar. A dremora therein has the key to enter the room that contains the relic.
      • The second is located at Goromas, a lone island North by NorthWest of the mainland. Pack some swift swims and water breathing potions for this one. Once in the cave follow the corridor and at the 1st 4way go left, travel down further and take the next left (kinda hard to see- look by the plants.
      • The last part of the staff is located at the Keep at Bal Ur. Entrance will only be allowed to this place if you have aquired the first 2 pieces. Go in, grab the last part. Molag Bal's trap is now sprung. Once you try to exit you will find yourself in a very dark and scary maze filled with daedra. Go left, then right then right again, and this should get you to the top of the maze. Molag Gurt stands watch over the exit key and will attack if you grab it. I would summon something to keep her busy as I calmly made my way back down to the exit. Once out... Mak Tans amulet will function correctly again.
    • Return to Mak Tan, she takes her amulet back and gives you 2 important items. The Sacred Index and the Amanstarbistashi Amulet. Use the Amulet to travel to the ruins. If you are in possesion of the index... the pool at the shrine will teleport you to Oban.
    • Travel to the Temple of the Floating Goddess. Gur Gon reassembles the staff for you and tells you to return it to Amassivipu Hall. This place can be gotten to via Ashnistasti. The winged Twilight there takes the staff and removes the curse that hinders your wielding of Weapons.
    • Become an Ear of the Order. Travel to the "School of Thought - Hall of Reason" talk to Jin Eha. Undergo the process.
    • Serve in the School of Thought. Go to the "School of Thought Ivory Tower." Talk to Gon Ran. He needs you to place Aedronic Devices in 3 locations in Morrowind. Don't forget to pick them up off the desk before you leave. Go to the three sites he listed and place the devices. Important: To activate a device you must first place it then click on it to activate it. A message box saying the device is activated will appear.
    • Return to Gon Ran and he tells you that you are ready to take a test to become a higher rank in the order.
    • Tavel to "Oban, lost Corridor." take the first North Door. Go Left Left Right. This brings you to the statue of Maanat. Click on it. Maanat appears. Agree to take the test. A door behind her appears and the door through which you entered disappears. Go thru the new door to Aten Hall. Kill the first Dremora, 2 more appear at the opposite end of the hall, kill them, three more appear again at the oppsosite end. Once they are finished you are teleported back to Maanat. You have passed the test.
    • Go back to Jin Eha to recieve further treatment and become an Arm of the Order.
    • At this point, when you walk back into the Great Hall, you will notice your old buddy Nan'Qut standing by the School of Power door. Talk to him and he tells you that you must deal with a Shalk Infestation in Antastan....shi Hall (Via bottom floor in School of Thought). Kill the 10 shalks in that place.
    • Return to Nan'Qut. Once you report that you have dealt with the shalks, you are attacked by Adaman, the giant golden shalk. Kill him and his many offspring. Once Adaman is dead you can enter the School of Power.
    • Talk to Jun Ra. He tells you that you must kill everyone at Tel Ulora. Don't forget Magos, and the slaves must be destroyed as well. The door under the waterfall in the foyer can be openned once the water is stopped, the storage room has a crank attached to the roots there that will stop this water. After killing the 17 denizens of TelUlora. Return to Jun Ra and for your service he allows you to access his Obanite Tree.
    • Talk to Jin Goha. She tells you to bring her the Coda Glass weapons. They are located behind locked doors at the Traders Guild. Aquire them and return to Jin Goha. She lets you keep them and allows you access to her tree.
    • Become an Eye of the Order at the "School of Thought- Hall of reason".
    • Return to the final SOP member Jun Gan. He tells you to kill Luciphage Ovos at KingsGrynn Abbey. Kill luciphage and his creations at the lab as well as the 4 Orclikes in the North Passage. Return to Jun Gan to recieve access to his tree.
    • Become a Crown of the Order. Go back to The Temple of the Floating Goddess and speak to Gur Gan again. He gives you his vote to become a crown.
    • Travel to Obivion Gate via Oban, North. There you will meet Ur'Haat. She will not give you her vote until you bring her Vivec soultrapped in Azura's Star. If you don't have this item you'll have to make a visit to Azura's shrine and do what she wants to get one. Once you have done this return to her and she gives you her vote. Also, talk to Gur Gon again and he will help you out with a new soul trapping spell.
    • Finally make the last visit to Jin Eha to become a crown of the order. As a crown you have full access to all areas of Oban, including the special library rooms and Uum.
  • Played as a regular race.
    • This mod adds considerably less questing for regular races than it does if played as an aedron. However, with that said, there is still quite a bit to do, see, and run from when played as a regular race. The main quest line for regular race PC's in this mod consists of being hunted by Aedrons.
    • Travel to Balmora. By the south gate there will be a Wanted Poster on the side of one of the buildings. Clicking this object will initiate the hunt. Your first sleep after doing this will invoke a bad dream. After that you will encounter your first Aedron on the Bittercoast north of Seyda Need and south of the shipwreck.
    • Speak to Nan'Qut. He tells you that he is looking for a friend who looks a lot like you. Lie to him. Allowing the aedrons to identify you is probably not in your interest. If the aedrons believe that you are not who you are, they will sell you some good potions. You will be able to find potion selling aedrons near most cities.
    • The aedrons will not identify you as who you are unless you do one of two things... tell them or attack them. Once you are identified expect to be ambushed often.
    • Rebuilding the aedronic artifact "The Staff of Oblivion" First travel to Amanstarbistashi. Go to the shrine, get the book "The Lost Staff," And then jump into the pool. This is a trap and you will drown if you haven't brought any Telelporting spells with you. Before you teleport retrieve the Wrench that is on the floor below the inverted Azura statue. These 2 items are needed to rebuild the staff. Second, find the aedronic relics. There are 3 parts of the staff you must aquire. The first is located at Kohranna Cavern located on the west side of the second foyada leading north on the west road leaving Molag Mar. A dremora therein has the key to enter the room that contains the 1st relic. The second is located at Goromas, a lone island North by NorthWest of the mainland. Pack some swift swims and water breathing potions for this one. Once in the cave follow the corridor and at the 1st 4way go left, travel down further and take the next left (kinda hard to see- look by the plants. The last part of the staff is located at the Keep at Bal Ur. This part is unaquirable if you are a normal PC. Molag Bal has seen it fit that ONLY vampires should be worthy to enter this place. So become a vampire. Now if you are holding the book and the wrench and the 3 parts the staff will be Auto-Constructed into 1 of 3 different versions of the staff. If your enchant value is less than 50 you get the weaker version... less than 98 you get a pretty formidable weapon... and over that, you will be able to rebuild the staff completely.
    • Shop at Tolun. Tolun is a comprehensive shopping district that sells every stock item in the game. In order to trade at the district however, you must aquire a Trading Certificate. Go to the Shipping building. Talk to Vyrn. He's awnry about the last customer and won't sell you a certificate for less than 10,000 drakes. If you want a better deal you'll have to talk to Rynas Iril. Who tells you why verne is upset. Now head off to Cibitsi's Grille. There you'll be able to buy a trading certificate from Fenril Hyyus for considerably less money than Vyrnn wanted.
    • Buy a magic wand at Tel Ulora. They have all kinds for all types.
    • Raid the keep at KingsGrynn Abbey... Just entering the keep at KingsGrynn is a crime punishable by death.
